NGS Talk Series 1: With NGS President

Nepal Geotechnical Society has started its own YouTube Channel beginning 18 May 2019 amid its Silver Jubilee Celebration Program. The YouTube Channel was officially launched by Minister for Physical Infrastructure and Transport, Honorable Raghubir Mahaseth, and was witnessed by about 150 program participants and invited distinguished guests from various professional societies and associations, government departments, academic institutions, private firms, and most importantly from International Society for Soil Mechanics and Geotechnical Engineering.

The first Talk Series consists of an about 12-minute talk with the president of Nepal Geotechnical Society Prof. Dr. Netra Prakash Bhandary (Ehime University, Japan) focusing on the society and geotechnical engineering issues in Nepal. The talk program has been conducted by a young student, Samana Shrestha from Universal College of Engineering and Science, Lalitpur. As it was out first attempt, there are a few mistakes in the selection of words/phrases, which we hope you will correct and understand appropriately.

The Silver Jubilee Program was financially supported by Terre Armee as our prime sponsor, so we have had this privilege to use their logo on the screen as well as append their promotional video clip in the end of the talk series video. We will do so for one year.
